About LearnBridge
LearnBridge exists to expand access to opportunity for young people—especially immigrants, refugees, and first-generation learners—who want to strengthen their English for college, career, and a sense of belonging.
We believe that creativity, critical thinking, and communication are not just academic skills—they are pathways to confidence, agency, and the ability to shape one’s future. LearnBridge supports learners from B1 → advanced proficiency, building the foundations they need to take the next step in their educational and professional journeys.
Why This Role Matters
Millions of learners worldwide lack a platform designed for their lived experiences. They deserve a learning environment that honors their stories, builds their confidence, and equips them with real-world skills.
LearnBridge is seeking a CTO who sees technology as a force for access, dignity, and human connection—someone who wants to help build a platform that lifts people who have historically been overlooked.
As CTO, you will guide LearnBridge’s technical direction and oversee the development of a simple, scalable, AI-supported writing and learning experience. You will lead engineering, shape core architecture, and ensure the product is reliable, intuitive, and aligned with our educational purpose.
Key Responsibilities
-
Build and lead a lean engineering team focused on high-quality execution.
-
Develop and maintain LearnBridge’s core technical architecture.
-
Oversee product development cycles from MVP through scaling.
-
Implement responsible AI practices that strengthen learner trust.
-
Collaborate closely with the CEO to ensure technology aligns with pedagogical goals.
-
Represent LearnBridge’s technical vision to partners and investors.
What You Bring
-
Strong engineering foundation with experience in AI, ML, NLP, or related fields.
-
A builder’s mindset—resourceful, iterative, and comfortable leading from zero to one.
-
Appreciation for culturally responsive and learner-centered technology.
-
Passion for expanding access to education for immigrants, refugees, and global learners.
-
Ability to lead teams with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
-
Startup or product-development experience (bonus if in EdTech or language learning).
Compensation & Commitment
-
Equity: Meaningful founding-team shares after an initial collaboration period.
-
Salary: Competitive for early-stage EdTech ventures, with room for growth as we scale.
-
Start: Part-time initially, with a pathway to full-time upon pre-seed funding.
Who Should Apply?
This role is for someone who wants to build technology with soul. A builder with the technical expertise to take LearnBridge from MVP to a robust, scalable platform used by learners around the world. A leader who believes that learning English can open doors—and that young people deserve tools that uplift their voices and expand their possibilities.
